Recently - art historian, Bachelor of Science,  and Master of Letters in Art History, Ina Johannesen has written the book EDVARD MUNCH - 50 graphic works from the Gundersen Collection where she after an introductory article about Edvard Munch, presents a selection of 50 graphic prints by Edvard Munch from the collection.


The selection of pictures comprises 27 lithographs and woodcuts, and 23 more - classic works by Edvard Munch - that were purchased in 2008, making the selection truely unique.


Ina Johannessen About the author

Ina Johannesen (b. 1972) is an art historian. Since 1998 she has had Norwegian 19th and 20th century art as her special field - with a particular interest in Edvard Munch. From 2002 to 2009, she was employed at Kaare Berntsen AS (Oslo), as Gallery Director from 2004 onwards. Previously, she had been employed as an art at painting and sculpture depapartment of the National Gallery (Oslo) at Kistefos Museum (Jevnaker) and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection (Venice).


At the National Gallery, Ina Johannessen amongst other tasks worked with the Munch colleciton at the institution, and was involved in several international Munch exhibitions -in Lugano (1998), Florence (1999-2000), and Ferarra (2001-02). She has been curator for exhibitions fo Norwegian and internationsal artists, including Edvard Munch (Kaare Berntsens 2008). Durign recent years, Ina Johannessen has worked closely with private collectors as well as international institutions that have exhibited Munch's art, including Fondation Beyeler (2007), Müseum Würth (2007-08), and most recently Pinacotheque de Paris (2010), wher eshe contributed the catalogue article "edvard Munch: Private Views. Private Collecting.


Ina Johannessen holds a B. Sc degree (1996) and a Master of Letters in art history (1998) from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. This is her first book publication.
